Electric Boat in Groton has won an $18.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide planning services for submarines and ships, parent company General Dynamics announced.
The contract as first awarded in 2011 and could be worth as much as $121.2 million through 2016 if the Navy exercises all of its options.
Most of the work under the modification will be done in Groton and some will take place in South Carolina.
