The 16th annual CT Business Expo, presented by Comcast Business, takes place Thursday, June 9 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
Produced by the Hartford Business Journal, the event features more than 150 Connecticut businesses and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s followed by a networking event from 4 to 6 p.m.
New this year is the Connecticare Health & Wellness Corridor. This special destination on the show floor will be a resource for questions about health insurance and gathering new ideas that can make your company and its employees healthier.
Also new is the XFinity Technology Hub. It features two seminars with giveaways of a phone power base from Xfinity. The first seminar is “Leveraging Online & Social Media to Make Your Business Grow & Thrive” at 10:30 a.m. The second is at 2:30 and is entitled, “Xfinity: Make Anytime Primetime!” with keynote speaker Brian Ferney, director of marketing, Comcast Western New England Region.
The other hubs are the Pro Systems Sales Hub, the Hartford Business Journal Marketing Hub, and the CTrides Trending Now Hub. All four hubs will feature seminars at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, and 2:30.
Among the highlights of the expo is a Commissioners Reception from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Connecticut Corridor on the show floor. Dept. of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith, Dept. of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker, and Bob Santy, president and CEO of the Connecticut Economic Resource Center will be on hand to meet and greet attendees.
