156-room CT nursing home purchased for $19.4M

A 74,596-square-foot Stamford nursing home with 156 rooms has sold for $19.4 million, according to the city’s land records.

Stamford Care Center Realty LLC, which is controlled by Usher Egert and Joel Paskes, both of Brooklyn, New York, has bought the three-story building on 4.1 acres from Stamford Acquisition II LLC, controlled by Pasquale Debenedictis, of Woodbury, New York.

An email to the new owner was not immediately returned.

Stamford Acquisition II bought the property for $9.1 million in November 2015 from Courtland Gardens Senior Leasing LLC, which is controlled by Mohammad Qazi, of Bloomfield, Michigan, property records show.

The property was appraised at $8.84 million and assessed at $6.19 million in 2024.

The nursing home currently operates as Cassena Care at Stamford, according to its website.
