The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded a $1.1 million grant to Capital Workforce Partners to support a program to train construction workers in New Britain, officials announced.
YouthBuild will provide classroom and hands-on instruction to 70 young people interested in construction careers.
During the program, the group of students will help build five affordable single-family homes in New Britain.
