A recently completed, 114-unit apartment building in downtown New Britain sold in late March for $30.75 million, according to city land records.
Developer Avner Krohn and the brokerage involved in the deal — Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors division —
announced the sale of the “Highrailer” building, at 283 Main St., in late March, but did not disclose the price at the time.
The transaction amount was later revealed in a deed filed with the city.
The sale follows another recent downtown deal involving Krohn. In November, “The Brit,” a 107-unit mixed-use apartment building he completed in 2024 on an adjacent parcel, sold for $31.07 million.
Both properties were acquired by a partnership between New Jersey-based firms INV360 and Reliant Partners, which own a portfolio of apartment properties in Connecticut, Krohn said.
Public records identify Shlomo Katz, of Lakewood, New Jersey, as principal of the limited liability company that purchased the Highrailer property.
