11-unit residential project planned in Bristol

Developers have proposed a two-building residential development at 15 Haviland St., in Bristol.

The “Haviland West” development, pitched by Southington-based owners COKEL Properties LLC and principals Eric and Kelly Carrier, would have 11 residential units, each with two bedrooms.

One building will have six units and six underground parking spaces. The other five units will feature walk-out basements. The total square footage for both buildings is just under 14,200.

The project site, at the intersection of Haviland and West streets, is currently two parcels that would be merged into one lot just over half-an-acre in size.

One lot has a blighted mixed-use office and residential building that will be demolished. The other lot is vacant.

The project will have a total 28 spaces, six underground and the rest surface.

If approved, the project is anticipated to start in 2024 and would have an estimated 18-month completion timeframe.
