The Connecticut Technology Council and Marcum’s annual listing of top in-state technology companies includes 11 Hartford County companies, putting Greater Hartford ahead of every county in the state, except Fairfield.
The Marcum Tech Top 40 winners are selected by the New York-based accounting firm and Connecticut Technology Council. Each year, they recognize the fastest-growing technology companies in Connecticut with at least $3 million in annual revenue and a four-year record of growth. Both privately held and publicly traded companies in six industry sectors are eligible.
Hartford County trailed Fairfield County, which boasted 18 companies on the list, but was just ahead of New Haven County, which had 10 companies on the list.
Hartford-based fintech firm WealthConductor LLC and New Haven biopharma company Arvinas Inc. shared the Accelerator Award, which recognizes companies that successfully scaled to $3 million in revenue in less than three years. WealthConductor achieved 182 percent growth over a year, and Arvinas grew by 80 percent, Marcum said.
The overall winner of the Top 40 was PooToo Solutions, a Norwalk company that provides analytics to brands and grew 2,183 percent over the past four years.
