Hartford’s government has more than $100,000 in grants to provide to city artists and creatives for operational costs and equipment, official said.
The business development grant program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Last year, the city awarded grants to 15 recipients, including shoemakers, face painters, marketers, photographers, composers, musicians and others.
Applications are due to the Marketing, Events and Cultural Affairs Division by April 17.
