Albertus Magnus College said alumna and trustee Katrina Rogers has committed a $1.7 million estate gift to the New Haven school — one of the largest planned commitments in the college’s 100-year history.
Rogers, who graduated in 1985, recently retired as president of Fielding Graduate University in California and previously held leadership and teaching roles with international organizations including the Red Cross and the World Trade Organization.
The unrestricted gift will be applied to the college’s top priorities, the school said.
Albertus is celebrating its centennial year and recently launched “Forever Albertus: The Centennial Campaign,” a $40 million fundraising effort focused on students, faculty, facilities and programs.
Rogers’ commitment raises the campaign total to more than $29 million, the school said.
