• The Central Connecticut Association for Retarded Citizens recognized Kaestle Boos Associates of New Britain with the 2007 Partnership Award for the firm’s support of CCARC over the last decade.

• The FDNY Foundation presented UTC Fire & Security President William Brown with the fire commissioner’s humanitarian award, which recognized the distinguished fire safety heritage of Kidde.

• The president of Manchester Community College, Gene S. Mazur, received the Board of Trustees Merit Award for his commitment, service and leadership to the college.
