Mike McGuire is a senior middle market relationship manager, senior vice president with KeyBank. He is responsible for prospecting new commercial banking clients and developing strong relationships with his existing portfolio.
McGuire manages a portfolio of public and private companies with revenues from $25 million to $3 billion, in addition to covering a select group of private equity firms. His portfolio consists of complex capital structures including debt and equity capital markets, syndications and M&A.

What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
I achieved Signature Circle in both 2021 and 2022, Key’s prestigious awards program that recognizes the top 1% of individual producers across the bank. In 2022, my strong performance significantly contributed to Connecticut’s ranking as Key’s No. 1 performing market amongst the bank’s 26 markets nationwide.
How are you involved in the community?
I serve on the board of directors for the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, and am a consistent volunteer at KeyBank’s Neighbors Make the Difference Day. I have also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Domus in Stamford, which serves troubled youth ages 12 to 26.
Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty?
• Successfully manage a team of partners to deliver full-service banking capabilities, including treasury and credit solutions, real estate, equipment financing, fx, swaps and automation.
• Mentor junior associates at the bank to help them develop professionally and be positive contributors to the overall team.
• Consistent volunteer in the community, serving on a board and volunteering for several nonprofits.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love spending time with my wife, Jaimie, and our two beautiful children, Michael and Melina. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family, watching sports and playing golf.
Fun Fact
I played Division I baseball at St. Peter’s University, and am one of eight children.
