Session 1 will be held from 9:45 am – 10:45 am and will discuss the challenges and obstacles of entering the cannabis industry, when recreational cannabis sales can be expected to begin, and measuring the social equity goals of the industry. This panel includes Andrea Comer, Ginne-Rae Clay and Kebra Smith-Bolden, with our very own Greg Bordonaro and Skyler Frazer moderating.

Andrea Comer is the Deputy Commissioner for the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, she is also Chair of the Social Equity Council. Previously, she led communications, strategic planning and workforce development efforts for business, government and nonprofit entities.
Ginne-Rae Clay is the Executive Director of the Social Equity Council. She is currently the president of the Greater Waterbury NAACP, and is a member of the ACLU of Connecticut’s board of directors, the Waterbury Diversity Council, the Waterbury Development Corporation, and Waterbury Voices.
Tiana Victoria Hercules is the Founder and High Empress of Lady Jane, a luxury Cannabis lifestyle brand. Tiana is a visionary leader with a track record for excellence and advocating on behalf of the marginalized in her beloved community of Hartford. She believes in the power of innovation and leverages her spirit and faith to lead a life of love and joy. Tiana also serves on Hartford’s City Council and has been involved in several non-profit boards in the Hartford area.
Michelle Bodian serves as counsel in Vicente Sederberg’s Boston and New York offices, where she is co-chair of the firm’s Hemp and Cannabinoids Department and Grants and Loans practice group. In addition, Michelle leads the firm’s Environment, Health & Safety practice group and is a leading member of the firm’s cannabis licensing and regulatory compliance efforts in Connecticut and New York.
