New Haven-hatched sandwich chain Haven Hot Chicken will open a fourth location, planned for North Haven, the company announced this week.
The new restaurant is slated to open at 146 Washington Ave. next year in a 1,200-square-foot storefront near an Interstate-91 interchange and across the street from McDonald’s and Popeye’s franchises.
Haven Hot Chicken co-founder Etkin Tekin said, “This location offers such easy access off of I-91 in an area where so many of our loyal guests are often out running errands.”

Like the chain’s other locations, the North Haven Haven Hot Chicken will offer limited on-site seating and be set up for online ordering, pickup and delivery. The new location will also participate in the brand’s partnership with nonprofit Connecticut Foodshare, donating $1 from the sale of each banana pudding dessert to the organization’s work to fight hunger.
The chain’s third outlet is slated to open “soon” in Norwalk, according to a company statement. A second Haven Hot Chicken opened in Orange in June.
The original Haven Hot Chicken location, at 21 Whitney Ave., recently celebrated two years in business.
