Telecommunications company GoNetspeed has announced that 100 percent fiber internet will be coming to residents and businesses in the towns of Clinton and Westbrook.
A privately funded investment of $4.5 million in the towns will bring fiber internet to over 7,300 locations as early as this summer, with construction expected to begin during the spring.
“As communities grow and homes become more modern, our internet needs to stand the test of time, and the need for high-speed internet only continues to grow,” said Richard Clark, GoNetspeed president and CEO.
More than 30 communities throughout Connecticut already have access to GoNetspeed’s services as they continue to expand throughout the state.
Access to 100 percent fiber internet allows customers to have strong, symmetrical download and upload speeds, ranging from 500 mbps to 1 gbps.
